Co-Operative Membership sponsorship confirmed for 2011 event
The Holly Holy Day Society is delighted to announce the renewal of its sponsorship arrangement with the Co-Operative Membership.
For the third year running, they will be one of the principal sponsors of Holly Holy Day, which will next take place on January 22nd 2011.
Spokesman Shaun Cafferty commented: 'We are pleased and grateful to them for their continued - and vital - support of the event. They have made a large contribution towards getting the event onto a firmer financial footing over the last few years. This is an event which unites and enriches the whole local community, and the Co-Op Membership have a big commitment to that'.
He added: 'Whilst this is very welcome news, we still need the support of other local businesses. At last year's event, traders saw business rise by as much as 25% on the day, so there is no doubt that it brings financial benefits to the town. The whole event is staged by a small group of unpaid volunteers, and although we are fortunate enough to have a grant from Nantwich Town Council, we are otherwise totally dependent on funding from local commerce and the general public. It's a sad fact of life, but if people want to see the event continue to flourish, they will have to help us find the income to do it'.
